19/9/14 A plea from Eric Watts
He is to be featured in an article in the Independent on Sunday, probably on 21st September, in which he describes how we used to communicate with cancer patients in the 1960s. He recalls being given a booklet of euphemisms to use with patients at the start of our 3rd year and wonders if anyone has a copy. He's also looking for any relevant stories, so if you can help you can email him here.

17/6/14 Update from John Browning on the 2016 reunion.
A small group visited Mainz earlier this month to assess the possibility
of having the next reunion there and enjoyed meeting with Linda
(Tennant). Mainz is a very attractive town but after considerable thought
we concluded that the logistics of arranging the reunion there were beyond
us. The next reunion will therefore be held in Scotland. Dates and
venue will be considered over the coming months and notified to all when
decisions have been made. |

8/3/13 Just received - sad news of the death of Sandy Reid |
Email
received from Ewan Macdonald on 7/3/13
“Terrible
news- Sandy was found dead in his bed today.
He hadn’t been seen for about 10 days since he came back from hillwalking up
north.
Probably had a heart attack - he had had cardiac problems in the past though
had got himself very hill fit.
He had just retired from the NHS about two weeks before, and apparently was in
good form.”

13/4/11 Message from Allan Gordon |
This received from Allan yesterday.
Dear Hamish, First of all my best wishes for a very successful weekend.
I have been quite overwhelmed by the generosity of the Zetans and would
very much like to say a huge thank you to all those who sponsored me.
The messages have made me realise how much I will miss you all.
Thanks
again for putting my efforts to raise money for MND Scotland on the
website and if anyone wants to see me finish (I hope) then I believe if
you hit the red button on the TV then I hope to finish around 13.25 and
my number is 26404.
Thanks again,
Allan
We wish him well on Sunday - be sure to tune in and see how he gets on.

30/3/11 More details of Allan Gordon's Marathon
|
Message from Allan received 27/3/11:
My training has been going really well, I manage my last long run - all
22miles of it yesterday as there is now of course only 3 weeks to go.
From now on it is shorter faster runs and tapering down so I am well
rested on April 17. Your help and thoughtfulness has been a real
encouragement - so thanks.
I am sorry to miss the reunion but am sure
it will be a great success and I hope I might manage the next one. My
running number is 26404 if anyone wishes to track my progress or see how
I get on. I am aiming to finish in around 3 hours 40mins. The race
starts at 09.45a.m. so hopefully I will be near the finish line around
1.25pm. |
15/3/11 Closing Date for Year Book Entries
|
If you want to see your details on the website in time for the Reunion, you'll need to send them to me by Friday 1st April. I will be out of contact from 7th to 12th April and so won't be able to do any work on the site. |
28/2/11 Request for Photos
|
Douglas McCruden is thinking of doing a presentation on mountains and
the Zeta club. He wonders if anyone in the Zeta contacts list has any pics of the Club Cobbler Climb.
If you can help, please email Douglas through this link.

14/2/11 Happy Valentines' Day
Or, are we all too old for romance????? |
Apologies to all who have sent in their details in the last month. Anne & I spent a month back in Cameroon, then our phone/internet was out of action for nearly a week, so it's only now that I'm getting a chance to catch up a bit.
For those who haven't sent in their year book entry yet, please, please, please do so soon!! |
3/1/11 A Happy New Year to all our readers |
That's us now into the reunion year. The recent commemoration of the Ibrox Disaster is a reminder of just what an eventful year 1971 was.
Thanks to those of you who have taken the trouble to send in your details. The latest submissions are from Bill Armstrong, Kenneth Collins, Jane Hockings, Sandy Reid and Bill Thomson.
So, come on the rest of you - we need your details NOW!!
