2026, our 55 year reunion
62 souls made it to Seamilll Hydro and shared a fantastic couple of days.  The location is superb and the hotel served us well (apart from a wee hiccough with the buffet on the Wednesday evening!).  No "scientific" presentations, no dancing, but a wee bit of golf and great craic.  It was good to catch up with old friends, but a challenge as some of us just no longer look like our 1971 year book photos!
We are extremely grateful to Elaine, Evelyn, Jocelyn and Mike for all their hard work.

And, Elaine is now the Zeta Club Poet Laureate having composed this for the event.

   55 YEARS!

To Seamill Hydro the Zetans have come
To rest and restore under the sun (?)
To meet, greet and remember great times
 55 years - how that time clock chimes!

  Brave students we were with books by the score
Computers? Mobile phones? WE didn’t need more
 Pipetting our ESRs, putting up a drip
 At the cutting edge we were hip.

 As Chaucer said ‘Time and tide wait for no man’
 So we moved on , each following a plan-
 Some to the heights of their chosen way
 And finding LOVE and fulfillment each day
 So now here we are, happy bunnies all
 A bit creaky and cranky but still standing tall.
 The joy of grandchildren, who’d have thought?
A delight of old age, a bonus unsought.

Just look at us all we haven’t changed a bit
 So handsome (or pretty)and looking so fit
With new hips, knees, eyes and implants abounding
Keeping us active and hearts still a pounding
Ready to party will well Kent faces
Catch up with news, gather the traces.
A wee drink or two, that’s good medicine we know
So we’ll smile,laugh and chatter, blow by blow
Celebrate and indulge- I’m sure that’s our due
As 55years ago we’ll feel brand new!

 So please raise your glasses
To toast  - us all-
 1971 Zetans - let’s have a BALL!!
