Career
The first ten years
after registration and an obstetric post, I worked on and off, very part time,
in psychiatry and general practice while our children were small. I then worked in community paediatrics for
25years starting off as a school doctor and then specialising in children with
special needs and in child protection. With colleagues I set up a service in
Lanarkshire for the forensic examination of children who had been abused. Latterly I worked for Strathclyde police as a
child examiner. |
Personal Details
I have been married to
John for forty years!!!! How time flies! We have two children Michael, a
psychiatrist, and Alison, a GP. We have
two grandsons and a baby on its way.
Almost seventeen years
ago I had breast cancer treated with surgery, radiotherapy, intensive
chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. I am well now and love walking, skiing, singing,
gardening and my dogs (and my husband). |
