Career
After pre-registration posts at Law Hospital and GRI, I did a DIY GP training scheme in Glasgow and the Stirling area, with posts in Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Geriatrics and a year as a GP Trainee, and, in 1975, joined a large Group Practice in Easterhouse where I remained for the next 23 years or two life sentences as one of our Health Visitors commented when I took early retirement in 1998.
Personal Details
In 1995, I married Stuart, a research scientist, and we now live in Malvern, Worcestershire.  We have a variety of interests including walking - we are within easy reach of great many long distance footpaths - and are involved with the local U3A.  I have also researched my family history extensively and this remains an ongoing project.

We enjoy holidays, Wales and the Alps being favourite destinations, though we sometimes stray further afield.  Last year we went to Western Canada where I revisited some places I had visited in 1969 and also visited some new areas in the Rockies.

Until recently, I did some charity work for the Age Concern (now Age UK) Sitter Service.
