I lost touch with Allan after Residency so
know virtually nothing, other than the listed entries, of his postgraduate life.
I did try to get in touch with Anne unsuccessfully through his Canadian
workplace and they talked of their beloved Dr Finnie.
I don't like to keep seeing a blank beside the
photo of such a popular guy. So I guess I just want to say that I have great
memories of "Tom" at Uni as one of the boys, but also as an original
thinker of considerable depth and tolerance for his age then. I have
fond memories of those years and was very very sorry to hear last year that
he had died at such an early age in 2003 from a brain tumour.
