Career

I remained in Glasgow, training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Western Infirmary.

Headed south to Southport in 1984 for a Consultancy at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where I specialised in Hand and Trauma Surgery until I retired in 2002 on Health and Safety grounds (my health and the Chief Executive's safety)!!

I am still observing the profession from my medico-legal practice.

Personal Details

I married Margo (a radiographer at the Western) in 1976.
We have 2 sons, Michael and Alasdair, 1 daughter-in-law, Rachael, and as yet no grandchildren but we are ever hopeful!
The boys have kept me poor but fit with projects such as climbing Kilimanjaro and cycling from Land's End to John O Groats!
