Career
After house jobs, I did general medical training & MRCP at Southern
General Hospital in Glasgow. This was
followed by Dermatology training in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Northampton &
Singapore. I became a Consultant Dermatologist in Ayrshire in 1982. I retired
in 2010, but am currently working 4 days a week because I’m irreplaceable (due
to a shortage of trainees!!!) – I seem to be one of the few still at the
coalface, though for how much longer I am not sure. |
Personal Details
Anne & I married in 1972. She still dabbles in Physiotherapy a bit,
but her main work is in running her holiday cottage business. We have 3
children – twins age 36 (Ali lives in Reigate, works for Unilever as an
accountant, and has 2 children ages 2 & 1; Nicki works in marketing for
Proctor & Gamble and has recently moved from Geneva to Singapore); Julie is
32 and working as a Clinical Psychologist in Edinburgh. |
