Anne was not a particular friend of mine but we shared many
projects including the anatomy table. Although never stylish, it was her
remarkable cheerfulness and good nature that I particularly recall. This was
reinforced when she attended our 25th reunion. She was so enthusiastic about
meeting everyone again and about her family life. Alas a repeat reunion was not
to be. One thing that shocked me when I was writing to everyone prior to our
35th reunion was receiving letters informing me that one of our peers had died.
Anne`s husband George, wrote a lovely letter saying how much the years at
Medical School and the reunion had meant to Anne. She died on 23rd December
2002 of a brain tumour. Her son George will be 32 now.
